Brighton winger Cameron Peupion proud of early season progress

Brighton winger Cameron Peupion is delighted with his early season progress.

The 19-year-old signed a new two-year contract in June, and has since made his first team debut for the club, while continuing to impress in PL2 in what has been an exciting few months for the Australian.

“I've been at the club two years now and my dream ever since I arrived was to make my debut and play for the first team," said Peupion to Brighton's website.

“It's been a really good couple of months for me and I'm in a good place. I've just got to keep working hard to make the most of the opportunities I'm being given."

Peupion's first team debut came during the 3-0 victory at Forest Green in the Carabao Cup last month.

“The surprise of getting called into the senior squad and then realising I was on the bench all happened pretty quickly. I was buzzing to just be involved, but getting the nod to actually come on was an amazing feeling.

“I was super happy to get the minutes I got and to make my debut, and it was brilliant getting an assist for what was a bit of an academy goal."
