Brighton plotting swoop for Chelsea midfielder Gilmour

Brighton are contemplating a possible deal for Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour.

The Scottish youngster has struggled to live up to the hype when he first broke into the Chelsea first-team.

Gilmour had a tough time during a loan spell at Norwich City last season.

However, Brighton may be a better option for the talented youngster, given they like to play expansive football.

According to the Daily Mail, Gilmour may even be seen as a replacement for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, who is wanted by Manchester United.

The 21-year-old has 15 Scotland caps, and is available on loan this summer, while a permanent deal may even be possible.
