Brighton striker Florin Andone admits they were desperate for victory over Huddersfield.
Andone scored the only goal after 79 minutes of a nervy encounter whick marked Brighton's first win of 2019.
He said, "We knew we hadn't won in 2019 and, for us, these three points are very, very important. Huddersfield are a team below us in the league and this game represented the perfect opportunity to end our bad run.
"We treated this game like a final, and we are so happy to have won it. It was a really tough game - Huddersfield played well, but we got the job done.
"Before I came on I knew I had to keep things simple and give my all. I got a shot off soon after coming on and Jan Lossl made a great save, which made me angry, but I kept faith in my ability."
