Brighton defender Shane Duffy admits he's close to making a decision over his next move.

The Express & Star says reports in Scotland over the weekend suggested Albion had jumped ahead of Celtic in the race to land the 28-year-old.

But both the Baggies and Celtic remain in talks with Duffy and his representatives – with a move to either still possible. Leeds, West Ham and Burnley are also believed to be monitoring developments.

Speaking on Instagram on Monday, Duffy confirmed he is poised to leave Brighton who have a wealth of centre-backs at their disposal.

He wrote: “Great time at home for a couple of weeks with my babies, now let's go see what this season brings."
