Brighton boss Gus Poyet is desperate for old club Chelsea to end their Champions League drought this season.
The Blues legend, now manager of League One side Brighton, is desperate for Carlo Ancelotti's men to become European champions after witnessing their semi-final nightmare against Barcelona seven months ago.
Andres Iniesta's last-gasp equaliser for the Spanish giants, which wrecked Chelsea's dreams of a second successive final against Manchester United, was one of Poyet's worst moments of 2009.
He said: "I want them to win the Champions League so badly.
"It's something that is becoming an obsession for everyone related to Chelsea. I was there watching the Barcelona game and it was difficult to take.
"I was pleased that I wasn't on the pitch. But this is why I think 2010 will be their year.
"The pain of that Barcelona will motivate them."
