Brighton and Hove Albion star Danny Welbeck has been told he is playing as though he is much younger.

The veteran striker was outstanding against former club Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Welbeck and his teammates earned a well deserved and dominating 3-1 win over the home side.

Post-game, Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi said: “I am not surprised.

“I know Danny Welbeck very well and he is an incredible player.

“Now is one of the best moments in his time in Brighton, he is playing like a young player."
