Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister admits he was delighted to see Adam Lallana score at the weekend.

The Albion picked up a fantastic win in the Premier League on Saturday against Wolves.

After the 3-2 success, in which veteran midfielder Lallana found the back of the net, Mac Allister spoke about the importance of the creative star.

“Adam Lallana is fantastic on and off the pitch, he's so important to the squad," said Mac Allister to club media.

“When he speaks everyone listens and that's because of the respect everyone has for him. He's a fantastic lad, who lives football and like everyone here he wants to win every game.

“It's good to have him on the scoresheet on Saturday and now our goal is for Danny Welbeck to score, because he deserves it and is a fantastic player who is really important for the team."
