Sydney FC striker Mark Bridge has sustained yet another injury that is likely to keep him out of the next two matches.
The 25-year old has made 18 appearances this term but has often been under an injury cloud leading into matches with various problems.
This time it is an abdominal issue which forced him out of Monday night's 2-1 away win over Newcastle Jets and could leave him sidelined for upcoming meetings with Gold Coast United and Melbourne Victory.
"Our physio Stan Ivancic said he always knew it was going to be a matter of time before this injury caught up with me and I'd need some time off, and while we hoped I'd be back for this week, I'm definitely out,'' Bridge told the Herald.
''I've been told to take the foot of the pedal this week and try not to inflame it any more, and then I'll try to do a little bit more work on Monday.
"Fingers crossed I'll be back for the next week but that might be hard because the boss doesn't like people playing if they don't get a full week [of training] under their belt.''
