Rhian Brewster is doubtful for Liverpool's Carabao Cup quarter-final against Aston Villa on Tuesday.
The young striker sustained a knock on the ankle in training.
U23 boss Neil Critchley, who will take charge of the Reds at Villa Park, told the media: "He's got a knock so he's doubtful.
"We're assessing him today, fingers crossed he makes it. We'll see."
