Bresica president Massimo Cellino has moved to terminate Mario Balotelli's contract.
The Daily Mail says reports in Italy on Saturday morning say Brescia owner Massimo Cellino sent Balotelli a letter requesting the termination of his three-year contract at the club.
The 29-year-old former Manchester City and Liverpool player is contracted to the Serie A side until 2022 but there is a break clause at the end of the season if Brescia are relegated.
They are currently bottom of the table ahead of the season resumption later this month, but, according to Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Messaggero, his contract will be ended immediately.
Gazzetta report that no legal action is necessary as the termination was negotiated with the striker's lawyers. Newspaper Repubblica report Cellino and Balotelli have reached a financial settlement.
