Brescia distance themselves from Balotelli Juventus joke

Brescia have distanced themselves from Mario Balotelli over comments made by Juventus this week.

With Serie A now suspended due to the coronavirus breakout, Balotelli said during an Instagram live chat that the competition played the remaining fixtures from Week 26, including Juve's defeat of Inter Milan, because they “had to wait until Juventus went back on top before stopping the league".

Brescia announced: "We wish to officially distance itself from the comments made by their player Mario Balotelli, relative to hypothetical favouritism in Serie A.

“Specifically, Mario Balotelli during an Instagram live transmission repeated on YouTube, made comments today that alluded to 'favours' for a team (Juventus) in the running for the title.

Brescia Calcio underline that such insinuations are strictly personal and are in no way representative of the Club."
