Brentford are into the Championship next season after clinching promotion last night.
Alan Judge's penalty secured a win over Preston to secure automatic promotion.
A jubilant Frank McParland, Brentford's director of football, hailed manager Mark Warburton and the vision of owner Matthew Benham as more than 11,000 fans poured onto the pitch.
"It's a great credit to Mark Warburton that we have achieved this by winning the game. All season we have gone out to attack and play football that is attractive to the fans but winning football. It was tense there with people passing on the other scores and the fans desperate to celebrate but we kept our focus brilliantly.
McParland, who joined after leaving Liverpool in November, added: "Matthew Benham deserves so much credit. The fans sing: 'In Matthew we Trust' and you can see why. He's had the vision to bring myself and David Weir here as coach and put great faith in Mark who has done a tremendous job especially when you consider it is his first managerial post.
"We will have a new stadium in place at Kew Bridge in two or three years and the club is run extremely well. It looks bright for the players and the supporters who are realising what we are trying to build. This is the first part achieved and now we hope to go on to better things."
