Brentford boss Frank admits mixed emotions after Strasbourg draw

Brentford boss Thomas Frank had mixed emotions after their 2-2 draw with Strasbourg.

Yoane Wissa and Keane Lewis-Potter scored the goals in each half, as Frank once again took some time to rotate his squad throughout the game.

"There were lots of positives, I would say. It was a game against a good side. They came with their strongest and we came with ours before both sides made changes.

"Overall, we kept them quiet. We controlled their balls in behind quite well throughout the game. On the ball, we'd like to play even quicker but the pitch today was slow. I liked the intention and intensity."

Frank was also keen to point out that there were things to work on, especially during a pre-season tour when you have more time with the squad.

"We lacked a bit of quality sometimes, we could make more forward runs. In the game in total we maybe created six chances so we need to score one or two more goals I would say.

"The first goal was a top cross from them, where we need to defend better in the box. The second one was a set piece goal that we would be very disappointed with if we gave it away in the Premier League."
