Star Brazilian striker Ronaldo has announced he will retire from the game at the end of next year.

The former Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan goalscorer who is currently with Corinthians in Brazil says after his current two-year deal expires in December 2011, he will quit playing the game.

"I have extended my contract for another two years and that will be the last of my career," he told a press conference.

"I want to give my all, have fun and finish with some major achievements."
