Brazil coach Mario Menezes has urged Neymar to resist an offer from Chelsea.

Neymar was expected to field a phone call from Pele last night in an attempt to convince him to stay with Santos.

Menezes entered the fray last night, declaring: "I'd rather that he and Paulo Henrique Ganso remain here, although we have not yet found the right formula to make our best young players stay here longer.

"Thinking of Brazilian football, his time here would have benefits for the national team."
