Martin Braithwaite is set to be released from his Barcelona contract today.
However, the Dane won't be leaving the city once he becomes a free agent.
Braithwaite has climbed down from his original demands of a full payout from the remaining two years of his deal. Instead, the striker will accept a 50 per cent payoff.
And once everything is settled, Braithwaite will immediately sign terms with local neighours Espanyol.
The 31 year-old likes the idea of not having to move at this stage in his career.
