Bradley content after debutants lead USA to draw with Chile

USA coach Bob Bradley was happy after watching seven debutants help the national team to a 1-1 draw with Chile on the weekend.

The US equalised in the 74th minute of The Home Depot Center clash when 2nd-gamer Teal Bunbury converted from the penalty spot but it was the performance of the first-game players which buoyed Bradley the most.

"We had seven guys get their first cap tonight, so that's always positive," Bradley said.

"When you have a young group of guys in camp, at the end of everything you want to put it to the test and it gives you a good picture of where these guys are, and I think that part was excellent."

Sean Johnson, Anthony Wallace, Zach Lloyd, Sean Franklin, Jeff Larentowicz, Eric Alexander and Chris Wondolowski all made their international debuts and Bradley expects them all to improve after experiencing soccer at this level.

"From the start of this (January) camp we talked about how international games are faster so our movement needs to be better and things need to be cleaner," he added.

"For the past few weeks we tried to establish an idea of what that's like and today that's exactly what we got."
