Tranmere Rovers have named Everton academy coach Gary Brabin as new manager.

Brabin, 44, joined the Blues' back room staff in January this year and worked with players in the Under-14 to Under-18 age groups.

Brabin's appointment at Prenton Park comes after Micky Adams left Rovers last month and he will be tasked with immediately returning the Wirral club to the Football League following their relegation from League Two.
