According to reports in France, Everton defender Sylvain Distin could turn down the interest of newly-promoted Premier League side AFC Bournemouth for a return to France.
The experienced centre-back is out of contract at Goodison Park in June and came on as a substitute to make his farewell appearance for the Toffees in Sunday's home defeat against Tottenham.
The 37-year old has made over 500 appearances in the top flight of English football for Newcastle United, Manchester City, Portsmouth and Everton.
Bournemouth have been linked with the defender but sources close to the FA Cup winner have indicated he wants a move back to his native Ligue 1.
