Bournemouth skipper Elphick set to relish Premier League challenge

Tommy Elphick is eagerly anticipating AFC Bournemouth's enormous Premier League test.

The 27-year old defender has captained the Cherries to an automatic promotion from the Championship barring a 19-goal disaster at Charlton Athletic in their final game of the season.

With promotion comes an even bigger challenge but Bournemouth have already proved they can handle the pressure after surprising all but themselves with their consistently brilliant performance in the second tier this term.

"Bring it on. People probably said [that we would struggle] when we came into the championship," said Elphick.

"We were relatively small then but we were quick to establish ourselves and we caught a lot people's eye with the way we played and what we were doing.

"We're not going very away from what has brought us success, the hard work and the passing game that the gaffer has established."
