Bournemouth revelation Ake promises room for improvement

Bournemouth youngster Nathan Ake believes he still has plenty of room to improve.

The versatile defender, signed from Chelsea in the summer, has played in all 35 top-flight games for the Cherries this season.

But the 23-year-old, who has won six player-of-the-month awards for Bournemouth, says he will continue to push himself for next season.

"This season was really important for my career. It has helped me so much and I am very happy so far but it is not finished yet," the Netherlands international told the Daily Echo.

"I came here to try to improve myself, get in the team and be an established player. I always want to improve and do better.

"There are still games I look back at and think 'what am I doing here or there?'. I am never satisfied.

"This season has been good but you always want to do better and there are still a lot of things to learn.

"The manager has helped me a lot, he is always trying to improve me. If the game ends well he is still trying to find things that can go better and that helps."
