Bournemouth to learn from QPR, Burnley mistakes - Howe

Eddie Howe suggests AFC Bournemouth will look at the mistakes made by clubs who have been relegated from the Premier League in their first season back in the top flight.

Both QPR and Burnley have gone straight back down to the Championship after gaining promotion last season and Howe believes it is sensible to cast an eye over what those clubs did in regards to summer transfer action prior to their step up to the top flight.

"It's only wise to look back and reflect on previous teams and how they've had the challenge that we've had and adapted to that," Howe said on Sky Sports' 'Monday Night Football' when discussing his side's promotion.

"It's only prudent that you learn from other teams and what their aims are and what they've worked with.

"But we are Bournemouth. We are unique and we can't copy anyone else. Certainly to be a part of this squad you need special characteristics.

"One of our key strengths has been our team spirit and we don't want to lose that in any way shape or form.

"We've got to enhance that and that's our challenge."
