Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is chasing Burnley pair Kieren Trippier and Sam Vokes.
The Mirror says Howe was manager of Burnley when he brought Trippier to the club on a season's loan and has remained a big fan.
Bournemouth may make a double swoop on Howe's old club with Welsh international striker Vokes also a top target.
Vokes began his career at Bournemouth before moving to Wolves for £300,000 and then on to Howe's Burnley.
Both Tripper and Vokes fit Howe's preferred signing profile of young British players with something to prove.
