Bournemouth interim coach O'Neil full of praise for Fredericks

Bournemouth interim coach Gary O'Neil has talked up the impact of summer signing Ryan Fredericks.

The former West Ham right-back has become a leadership figure inside the Cherries dressing room.

O'Neil told the Daily Echo: "His attributes on the pitch will be big to us.

"He's a great athlete, strong, physical, very good on the ball. So he's a good player, firstly, which is always nice to get back in and around your squad and team.

"And he's a leader as well.

"He's great around the place, helps galvanise the group.

"When times are tough, he can be good for you. When times are going well also.

"He's just really good to have around the group and the squad and happy to have him fit again."
