Bournemouth insist Randolph okay after pre-match scare

Bournemouth management are confident Darren Randolph is okay after a pre-match scare.

The veteran goalkeeper was to face Ipswich Town in Tuesday's Professional Development League game.

But the 36 year-old, formerly of West Ham, was surrounded by medics before kickoff after feeling "unwell". He was eventually stretchered off the pitch.

Cherries development coach Alan Connell said: "Darren Randolph felt unwell in the warm-up and needed medical attention.

"All the medical team were straight on to help him, which was great.

"Pleased that he is back in now and feeling much better and left the stadium of his own accord.

"We're really happy with the outcome.

"It's a shame he didn't play tonight but obviously his health is the most important thing."
