Lee Tomlin is hoping he can have a positive impact on Bristol City for the rest of the season.
The 27-year-old forward joined the Robins on loan from Bournemouth on Tuesday and is now intent on providing a scoring avenue for the third-bottom Championship outfit.
"We're not too far off relegation and seeing the lads train today proves that they're good lads and good players," Tomlin told the FL72 podcast.
"It shouldn't take much more to keep us up. Hopefully we can do that.
"I want to play games and be a hero by keeping them up. I've not looked past this season. For me it's about playing games and keeping this club up."
Tomlin joined Bournemouth from Middlesbrough for £3million in the summer but played just six times under Eddie Howe and has now moved to Ashton Gate for the remainder of the campaign.
