Bournemouth defender Chris Mepham is facing three months out due to injury.
The Wales centre-back suffered knee ligament damage in the Cherries' FA Cup 4-0 win over Luton last Sunday.
Mepham will undergo surgery Saturday morning but it is a blow for Eddie Howe's struggling side, who face relegation rivals Watford at home on Sunday.
Mepham confirmed on Twitter: "I have sustained a significant knee injury in the FA cup game on Saturday.
"I will undergo surgery tomorrow and will be hopeful for a speedy recovery. Thank you all so much for the messages."
