Bournemouth defender Adam Smith: We must dig deep now

Bournemouth defender Adam Smith had no complaints after their 3-0 defeat at Everton.

Smith conceded Everton deserved the win.

He said, "First half we weren't that bad I thought we competed well. We were under a bit of pressure for the first 20 mins but it was even and then a few individual mistakes cost us. If you make mistakes in this league you get punished and they punished us. Not a good first half.

"It's been a tough start for us playing a lot of the top six teams, we felt today was a big game and we wanted a performance and three points so it's just real disappointment to be honest.

"Great finish by Jack [Harrison] and we're not going to point fingers, everyone makes mistakes. We have to try and do better and help out team mates if they do make mistakes.

"I need to be careful what I say but it's a clear foul on me fore their third goal. If you know football you know that's a foul. They looked it but I'm really disappointed they made that decision to be honest.

"We've been here before, we were here last season and we dug deep and got out of it. We're going to have to show that again but we have to try and look at the positives. Get some good training over the next couple of weeks and hope everyone comes back fit from the internationals and hopefully we can get a win on the board soon."
