Jay Bothroyd has implored Mark Lawrenson to be wiser with his words in the wake of his rant against Mario Balotelli.
?The Liverpool legend slammed Italian striker Balotelli after Sunday's 0-0 FA Cup quarter-final result with Blackburn Rovers at Anfield.
?Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, 'Lawro' said of Balotelli: "Forget about Mario Balotelli.
?"He is an absolute waste of time. He shouldn't be anywhere near this team," he said.
"I can see why Brendan Rodgers threw him on today as he might just create something, but 99 times out of 100 he will let you down."
?However, former Cardiff City striker Bothroyd, currently with Japanese club Jubilo Iwata, took to Twitter to suggest Lawrenson should more supportive of the Reds players.
