Manchester City great Yaya Toure is in talks to extend his playing career in Brazil.
Globo Esporte says Botafogo have approached the Ivorian veteran about a 12 month contract in the Brasileiro.
Now 36, Toure is a free agent after guiding Qingdao Huanghai to promotion to the Chinese Premier League last season.
Botafogo have already snapped up Japanese great Keisuke Honda, 33, and now hope to do the same with Toure.
The veteran midfielder has insisted he remains an active player, despite departing from China last year.
