Mark Bosnich is a man who has been much maligned throughout his tumultuous football career but is not about to let the past creep into his newfound ways. So far his performances as guest player with the Central Coast Mariners in the A-League have been classic Bosnich, making reaction saves, organising the defence and barking instructions but the former English Premier League star knows there is more work to be done. Speaking to Sportal.com, Bosnich said, "I would love to (keep playing). I was out of football for a long period and sometimes you don't realise how much you love something until it is gone. "I just need to keep working hard, performing well and hopefully these doors open. "I'm not thinking too far ahead. Hopefully it keeps going the way it's going but it can also go the other way and experience has taught me that." The 36-year old had a whirlwind pre-season and many said he would be past it when the real season kicked off but Bosnich has proved many people wrong, although the pathway back to first team football hasn't been easy. He added, "What I have been pleasantly surprised with is (how well) the body's held up…that has surprised me. "I've had a lot of obstacles put in front of me. Some of them have been natural obstacles and some have been unnatural. "The whole experience has been difficult but so it should be." The Central Coast Mariners will be hoping Bosnich is at the top of his game this weekend as they face the top of the table Melbourne Victory at home.
