Australian defender Eddy Bosnar scored the goal completed a Shimizu S-Pulse revival in the J-League yesterday.
The league leaders found themselves in an uncustomary position this season when they were 2-0 down against Kyoto Sanga but four second-half goals gave them their seventh win of the season and maintained their unbeaten start.
Bosnar netted in the 83rd minute to kill off the contest after both sides had earlier been reduced to ten men.
Jungo Fujimoto scored a double for Shimizu whilst Norwegian striker Frode Johnsen was also on the scoresheet.
Elsewhere in Japan, Gamba Osaka and Kawasaki Frontale played out a classic 4-4 draw, Shonan Bellmare and Vissel Kobe drew 2-2, Cerezo Osaka defeated Kashima Antlers 2-1, Albirex Niigata saluted with the same scoreline over Yokohama Marinos, Ryoichi Maeda scored twice to help guide Jubilo Iwata to a 2-1 win over Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Montedio Yamagata scored a narrow 1-0 victory over Omiya Ardija, FC Tokyo and Vegalta Sendai played out a scoreless draw and Nagoya Grampus dropped to third after a 2-1 away loss to Urawa Reds.
