Manchester United boss David Moyes must move quickly if he is land SC Freiburg midfielder Matthais Ginter.
Moyes made a personal check on Ginter a fortnight ago and their interest has been welcomed by the youngster.
But Spox says Borussia Monchengladbach have made a move for Ginter and are already in advanced talks for the defensive midfielder.
Ginter is tied to Freiburg until 2017, but is ready to move on this summer.
