German outfit Borussia Dortmund have received some bad news in the form of an injury to Shinji Kagawa.
The Japan international sustained ankle ligament damage in training on Wednesday and is likely to be sidelined for up to three weeks for the Bundesliga table-toppers.
"He tore an ankle ligament in training on Wednesday and is expected to be back fit for the March 3 game against Mainz 05," the club said in an official statement.
Kagawa spent two months on the sidelines last season with a broken foot and after scoring four goals in his past four outings will be forced to miss more action.
