Marco Borriello blasted AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri for hooking him during defeat at Napoli.
Former Chelsea boss Ranieri explained his decision to replace the striker rather than Francesco Totti in the 2-0 defeat at Napoli by saying Borriello was tired.
"Was I tired? I think the Napoli defenders were more tired than I was," replied the hitman.
"I was amazed by my substitution, but these are decisions that a player has to respect.
"I don't want to create problems for the Coach or controversy in the media, but I don't want to tell lies either.
"You ask me if I was tired and I say I wasn't tired at all."
