Jonathan Bornstein is remaining positive ahead of Tigres UANL's Apertura campaign despite his future being unclear.
The 28-year old American left-back has revealed that he is assessing his options ahead of a possible summer exit from the club where has struggled to hold down a regular first team spot since arriving from Chivas USA at the end of 2010.
"I'm waiting, I'm speaking to my agents like always about what is best for me," he told reporters in Monterrey. "I'm looking at the options.
"[MLS] is always an option. I want to demonstrate what I have in Mexico, I like the league and the level and I want to play here if there is a chance."
The California-born defender added: "I always come with the hope of being able to get a chance to play. I'm excited and ready for a new season that [represents] a new opportunity."
