Newcastle United have been tipped to finalise the signing of Yoan Gouffran from Bordeaux on Wednesday.
The 26-year old French forward comes out of contract with Bordeaux at the end of the season and will reportedly sign a £1.5million deal with the Magpies.
He posted on Twitter: "Big thanks to everyone who has supported me through the good times and bad times. I thank the leadership of the club and the staff for helping me grow.
"I need a new challenge and therefore I hope that you respect my choice. I will follow all the results of the Girondins (Bordeaux).
"Tomorrow I will be a new player of Newcastle and I am proud. Thanks to everyone....kisses."
Gouffran is likely to be joined by fellow Frenchmen Mapou Yanga-Mbwia from Montpellier and Massadioi Haidara from Nancy at Sports Direct Arena.
