Bony again declares Swansea commitment

Wilfried Bony has pledged his commitment to Swansea City.

Bony struck his first goal of the season in the 2-2 draw with Newcastle United.

"I'm pleased to have scored, but I had two other chances to score which the 'keeper saved so we could have had more," said 25-year-old Bony.

"I hope that goal will now prove to be the first of many. I have to do my best, be myself and try and score as often as I can. It is frustrating when the goals do not come for you, but you cannot score every game. I could have had two more today if the keeper had not made two great saves, but we now need to forget this and think about the next game.

"I don't think there will be any more talk about me (leaving Swansea) this season. I have the African Cup of Nations, if we qualify then I will go to that in January so I do not think there will be any talk and I am focused on completing the season here and doing my best."
