Bonera delighted with new AC Milan deal

Daniele Bonera has agreed new terms with AC Milan.

The defender has penned a deal to 2015.

"We never talked money as my intention was to stay," the defender told Milan Channel after meeting with Vice-President Adriano Galliani. "I'm happy to still be a part of this club.

"The team is developing but ended this season well, there is a good mix of young and experienced players and it will endeavour to return to the top in Italy and Europe."

The former Brescia and Parma man, capped by Italy, only made 17 appearances for the Diavolo in 2012-13.

"If I had the feeling that I would only be here as a reference figure in the dressing room then I would not have stayed," he added.

"I really want to play, certainly my experience will be put to the service of these young players, but I am not satisfied and want to win so much with this shirt."
