Bolton Wanderers midfielder Joey O'Brien is excited about tonight's UEFA Cup clash with Sporting Lisbon.

"Last year I thought I might never play football again," admitted O'Brien. "So this competition isn't a distraction for me. Besides it's a massive game that everyone should want to play in. Hopefully, we can take another step in the competition.

"It's just great to get back playing this season because all the time I couldn't was a real downer. When you can't train with the lads or help them in matches, then you don't feel like a footballer any more."
