Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba is delighted with his call-up for England's U21 European Championship squad.
He said: "I'm really looking forward to it. I won't get too much of a break from football but I think it can be really beneficial for me."
Muamba insists he has no concerns about featuring in an intense tournament just weeks after completing the 2008/2009 Barclays Premier League campaign.
"I don't mind at all," he added. "I can't stay at home as I'd get too frustrated but that kind of thing is part of the game.
"If you just want to play at the highest level then you have to put the work in. I'm happy I'm doing it."
