Bolton's Elmander: Premiership best in world

Bolton Wanderers striker Johan Elmander believes he's moved to the best competition in the world.

The Swede told Bolton's website: "I think that the Premier League is the best league in the world and I feel that I have to perform to the best level I can do because I want to show everybody that I am a good player. I know it will be difficult in my first year, but I hope I can help the club have a good season."

Despite only arriving in Bolton a number of weeks ago, the striker is enjoying himself and hopes it won't be long until he has a permanent home within the local area.

"I love it here. When I first came to the club everyone was very friendly and welcomed me with open arms and took care of me. I like it in England also, we have been having some sunny days and from my first impressions it's very good here. I am staying in a hotel at the moment until I can find a house and I am sure when I do everything will be great."
