Bolton to try again for Middlesbrough defender Williams

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is ready to try again for Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams.

The Daily Star says the Trotters are pondering a move for £4m-rated Middlesbrough defender Williams.

Bolton boss Owen Coyle, who signed centre-back David Wheater from Middlesbrough for £2.3m in January, is now eyeing Aussie international Rhys Williams, 23.

Williams, who played on loan for Burnley when they were promoted in 2009, missed the first half of last season due to a pelvic injury but is now fully fit.
