Bolton skipper Nolan: Elmander different to Anelka

Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Nolan is eager to play down comparisons between new teammate Johan Elmander and Nicolas Anelka, the now Chelsea striker.

"He is totally different to Anelka. He's more of a link-up man but has scored a lot of goals in France," he told The Daily Star.

"He's not come in to replace Anelka. He has come to benefit the team. I think we will get a lot of benefit from him and I think he will score quite a few goals for us.

"He is good in the air and I think he has a good eye for goal, in and out of the box.

"We are not putting pressure on him to come in and take over from Anelka. We are putting pressure on him to go out there and do what he does best."
