Bolton signing O'Brien hits out at Redknapp

New Bolton Wanderers signing Andy O'Brien has hit out at Harry Redknapp for freezing him out at Portsmouth.

The £1.2million Republic of Ireland defender, 28, insists he was fit for the whole of last season.

But he played just five games and said: "I didn't play due to the manager's opinion. We didn't see eye to eye.

"At least I've come to a club where if you train well it counts for something.

"I went to see Redknapp but never got any honest answers. I'm grateful for the opportunity at Bolton."
