Bolton midfielder Stuart Holden believes fellow American Clint Dempsey was overlooked in the PFA shortlist for the Player of the Year award.
Yesterday, the Professional Footballers' Association released their top six nominees as voted by their peers but Fulham ace Dempsey was a noted absentee.
Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Joe Hart and Scott Parker were all named but not the USA star, prompting Holden to post on Twitter that he disagreed with the non-selection.
"For me... No bias obviously.. Clint Dempsey needs to be on Player of year shortlist! 16 goals as midfielder for mid table team?" was the question posed by Holden.
