Bolton's Holden joins Houston Dynamo fans in the stands

Injured Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stuart Holden was present at the home of his former club, Houston Dynamo, on the weekend.

The 25-year old USA international is currently sidelined from English Premier League action with a knee injury and was back home in Texas to cheer on the Dynamo in their clash with New England Revolution on Sunday.

Holden was asked to sit with the supporter's groups at Robertson Stadium and quickly obliged, much to the delight of the fans.

Obviously I'm a little bit limited on crutches," he told the Houston Chronicle "But they came over with 12 guys and surrounded me in a circle and walked over to The Batallion and the Texian Army.

"At that end of the stadium everybody was chanting, 'Ole! Ole! Ole! Holden!' The whole way across I was kind of overwhelmed."

This comes doubled with the news that the Dynamo will host the Trotters in the Dynamo Charities Cup at Robertson Stadium on July 20, something that Holden was eagerly anticipating.

"It's great that both sides were able to work this out, especially for such a great occasion, the Dynamo Charities Cup," said Holden.

"It benefits Dynamo Charities, which I've done work with in the past and which does so much work around Houston to benefit the community."
