Bolton midfielder Eagles: Man Utd produce good, decent lads

Bolton Wanderers winger Chris Eagles has highlighted the personalities of Manchester United's young players as proof of quality of the education at Old Trafford.

He believes the schooling he received, and that which is currently being dished out to the likes of Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Tom Cleverley and Danny Wellbeck, will remain with him forever.

"I will always have a soft spot for them," he told the Manchester Evening News. "They bring you up with manners and how to represent yourself as well as the club.

"That's why I don't really go out too much. And I am not a big drinker.

"If you look at the lads who have played for United they are all similar. Things get put in papers about United but it's not true.

"They are the nicest people going. United are a close knit club like Owen has done here."
