Bolton Wanderers made a major offer for Hertha Berlin striker Marko Pantelic last week, it has been revealed.

The Bolton Evening News says sources at the German club claim they turned down a substantial offer for Pantelic, who has scored 32 goals in 77 Bundesliga appearances, and are likely to ask big money again if Gary Megson goes back in for him in the summer.
