Bolton hero Blake convinced Ngog will come good in front of goal

Bolton Wanderers hero Nathan Blake feels David Ngog will come good in front of goal.

Former terrace favourite Blake saw his fortunes with Wanderers transform after scoring just once in his first season with the club, and believes Ngog's Bolton career could also go the same way.

"It hasn't been easy for Ngog," he told the Bolton News. "I know Johan Elmander didn't start well, but he really kicked on in his last season and there's no doubt he's been missed.

"Daniel Sturridge had a point to prove to Chelsea and he made it look easy at times - so without those two in the team, there has been a really big hole to fill. I think Ngog is a good player and he will get goals but right now he's not been able to get on that run.

"I've been in that situation myself, and when I went to Bolton I thought I was going to score goals with my eyes closed. It didn't happen right away but you've got to keep believing it will."
